José Frías is an award-nominated production and post-production sound professional who delivers high quality sound for film, television, video games, web, and more.
José is an award-nominated production and post-production sound professional. A graduate of New York University’s prestigious Music Technology program, José has been involved in sound for nearly a decade, and has worked on numerous films, video games, and other mediums.
Originally from a strong music production and engineering background, José started working extensively in film sound while at NYU, often collaborating with filmmakers from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He then expanded to other mediums, including video games, where he had the opportunity to do the sound design for the iOS and Mac/PC audio-only adventure game, BlindSide, which was nominated for IndieCade’s Red Carpet Award and the Brazilian Independent Game Festival Award in the category of Best Sound.
José currently continues to work in sound, mostly as a production sound mixer, a sound designer, and re-recording mixer.
